I'm Michelle Ramsey, a counselor for adults in seasons of change, loss, anxiety, starting over, or just feeling overwhelmed by where you are in life. This is about more than talking it out. Together we make sense of what's really going on and turn it into real, lasting change.
People come to therapy for all kinds of reasons, and you don't need a crisis or the right words to start. You're the expert on your own life. My job is to help you understand yourself more clearly and make the changes you're looking for. I do my best work with people who are ready for change and feel safe enough to share the tender parts. If any of this feels familiar, you're in the right place.
The racing mind, the bracing for the next bad thing, the trouble turning it off at night.
An empty nest, a new chapter, a divorce, a reinvention. Figuring out who you are now.
From postpartum to perimenopause and menopause, hormonal shifts can quietly upend your mood, sleep, and sense of self. These changes are real, and I take them seriously, mind and body together.
Loss that others expect you to be "over." Making room for it instead of pushing through alone.
Running on empty, the inner critic, learning to treat yourself with the care you give everyone else.
Patterns that keep repeating, boundaries that never held, learning what you actually need.
Rebuilding after something broke. There's a lot of life left, and it's worth doing on purpose.
Born and raised in Southwest Florida, I know this community because it's home. The years here have given me deep roots, lasting friendships, and a sense of belonging I don't take for granted. Getting to do this work in the place that shaped me, with the people who make it home, matters to me. Therapy, to me, isn't something that happens to put-together people in a perfect office. I've walked through my own seasons of change, rebuilding, parenting, and starting over, and I bring that real understanding to our work together.
I hold a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and work with adults across Florida. My style is warm and direct. I'll listen closely, ask honest questions, and stay right beside you while you reconnect with what you already know and what you want next.
I work from a simple belief: you already know more about yourself than anyone else does. A lot of what therapy offers is the space, and the right questions, to finally hear it. Together we get clear on what's really going on, gently name the blind spots we all carry, and build a steadier lens to see your life through, so you can make the changes you actually want.
I care just as much about helping you feel things as understand them. Real change rarely happens in your head alone. So instead of only talking problems through, I help you move through the hard emotions underneath them, rather than staying stuck in old thinking patterns. That's usually where lasting change begins.
My approach is integrative and whole-person. I care about how you're doing mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually, because those parts of us are connected. And I don't believe in one-size-fits-all: depending on what you need, I draw on a mix of approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment work, parts work, somatic tools, solution-focused therapy, and motivational interviewing. The method always serves you, never the other way around.
My hope is that you leave feeling lighter, clearer, and more hopeful, and that over time you grow genuinely confident in yourself, steady enough to meet whatever life brings next.
I'm also a person of faith, and many of my clients bring theirs into the room freely. If that's part of your life, it's welcome here and can be part of our work together. If it isn't, you are just as welcome, and your care is exactly the same. This is your space, wherever you're coming from.
No long forms before we've even spoken. We start with a short, no-pressure conversation to see if we're a good fit.
Book a free 15-minute consultation. We talk about what's bringing you in and any questions you have.
If it feels right, we schedule your first full session to get to know your story and what you want to work toward.
We meet regularly, usually weekly or every other week, at a pace that fits your life.
Sessions are online. I offer secure video sessions (telehealth) to clients located anywhere in Florida, with a focus on Southwest Florida communities like Naples, Bonita Springs, Fort Myers, and Cape Coral. You'll need to be physically located in Florida at the time of your session.
I'm a private-pay practice. If you'd like to seek reimbursement from your insurance, I can provide a monthly superbill you can submit to your plan. Reach out and I'll walk you through it.
Sessions are $150 for 50 minutes, and the first intake session is $200 since it runs a little longer. Payment is due at the time of service. You'll also receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected costs before we begin.
It means I've completed my master's degree and clinical training and am now building the supervised hours required for full licensure in Florida. I practice under the supervision of Angela Hawke, LMHC, an experienced licensed counselor and qualified supervisor. Your care is confidential and held to the same professional and ethical standards as any therapist's.
Only if you'd like me to. I'm a person of faith, and many of my clients find it meaningful to bring theirs into the room. If that's you, it's welcome and can be woven into our work. If it isn't, you're equally welcome and your care is exactly the same. This is your space.
